Voice For Health – On A Proper Footing

Dr. Freedman

Chiropractors often rely on their expertise in biomechanics to find the root causes of their patients’ back pain and other problems. This examination of the interrelation between body movement and structure often leads chiropractors to conclude that the feet are at the bottom of the problem. In many cases, altered foot biomechanics is the culprit ...

Voice For Health – A Wristed Development

Dr. Freedman

Every golfer strives to make solid contact with the ball. Because the grip of the hand is the body’s only connection to the club, wrist action is a critical part of the game. However, the repetitive motions of golf and the high speed of the typical golf swing place the wrists at high risk for ...

Voice For Health – Don’t Get Frozen Out

Dr. Freedman“Adhesive capsulitis” (commonly known as “frozen shoulder”) occurs when the capsule of connective tissue surrounding the shoulder joint develops chronic inflammation, thickens, and tightens. Symptoms include gradual pain when moving the shoulder followed by increased stiffness that limits range of motion. Most cases of frozen shoulder follow a specific pattern. First, there is an acute phase that is characterized by significant pain and functional impairment. This is followed by a progressive stiffening phase as shoulder motion worsens. The shoulder joint may become so tight and stiff that it is nearly impossible to carry out simple movements, such as simply raising the arm. Treatment consisting of gentle stretching exercises and manipulation of the shoulder joint helps get the shoulder moving again.

Instead of covering up your symptoms with drugs, at FAMILY PRACTICE OF CHIROPRACTIC, we will help determine if your health problem, such as frozen shoulder, can be helped through gentle chiropractic care – without drugs or surgery. Call us at 617.472.4220 to schedule an appointment. We’re located at 112 McGrath Hwy., Quincy, where you will be fully educated as to what is happening to you and how we can help. If you’re suffering from pain, try a safe, effective alternative: chiropractic care. We have the services you require. We are able to adjust patients sitting, standing, or lying down to accommodate any level of discomfort.

P.S. While the cause of frozen shoulder is not exactly known, patients with diabetes, Parkinson’s disease, cardiovascular disease, and thyroid disorders seem to be at greater risk.

Voice For Health – Sustaining Performance

Dr. FreedmanThe relationship between chiropractic and fitness has been redefined. Although most chiropractors still focus on helping people prevent and recover from back and joint injuries and misalignments, more attention is being focused on preventing injuries among exercisers and athletes who want to preserve their fitness. This trend is born of greater interest in exercise and healthy lifestyles. Exercise-minded individuals are likely to find that they can learn a lot about their bodies’ structure from a chiropractor, who has a great deal of knowledge and experience with biomechanics. A chiropractor can assess problems and weaknesses as well as design a detailed program to meet active people’s needs. Along with good nutrition, exercise is a key factor in maintaining health

Let the staff of professionals at FAMILY PRACTICE OF CHIROPRACTIC help you achieve optimum health. We promote a drugless, non-invasive form of health care that addresses your lifestyle and any physical issues affecting your joints and spine through procedures such as custom exercise routines. Call us at 617.472.4220 to schedule an appointment. Make regular chiropractic care your first choice, not a last resort. We’re located at 112 McGrath Hwy., Quincy, where we’re currently accepting new patients. We offer computerized spinal scans.

P.S. A chiropractor can provide runners and gym goers with valuable insights into their musculoskeletal systems that can improve their performance.
